Womens Golf Academy

West Essex Golf Club’s ‘Get into Golf’ program is designed to encourage women to learn the game and experience playing the game with each other in a relaxed and friendly environment. It is sometimes intimidating to take up a new sport and our emphasis is on encouraging women to come together by creating a welcoming space for women to learn this great game.

Our program offers 6 lessons either individual or joint. These will deal with all the basics and equip the player with all the skills they need to start their golfing journey.

The lessons will offer instruction on the following:

Grip and stance
Swing
Irons
Tee shots with woods
Chipping and pitching
Bunkers
Putting
Rules, etiquette and scoring

This program also offers the following:

Full uses of the Trackman range and discount on balls
Access to the chipping area and bunkers
Access to the putting area
Full use of the bar and facilities
Bar discount

Once a certain level of competence is achieved, also included:

Access to the course at selected times (junior tees for beginners)
Buddy system and mentors
Social golf with the women’s section leading to membership
